Hinton Scaffold Solutions Employees Unanimously Ratify First Agreement

Fort McMurray, AB—Employees of Hinton Scaffold Solutions Inc. unanimously ratified their first collective agreement with Local 63.

The three-year agreement includes a base-wage rate increase of four percent, with a wage review set for 2025.

Thanks to support from the membership, the new contract includes a great benefits package that is on par with other CLAC contractors, as well as a competitive retirement package, and a yearly boot allowance of $100.

Hinton’s employees are currently performing maintenance scaffolding work, steady-state, and shutdown work at CNRL Horizon, north of Fort McMurray.

“We look forward to working with Hinton Scaffold Solutions going forward,” says Jay Caithcart, representative. “So far, it has been a very good start to our relationship, and that is reflected with the employees voting 100 percent in favour of ratifying the collective agreement.”
