Wednesday, October 30, 2024 Hi-Tide Shoring and Foundations Employees Unanimously Ratify New Three-Year Contract Locals Local 68 Ratifications Sectors Construction Chilliwack, BC—Local 68 members employed by Hi-Tide Shoring and Foundations (2012) Ltd., based in Chilliwack, BC, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with wage increases and other improvements. The new contract includes five percent annual wage increases over the term, with the first increase retroactive to January 1, 2024. It also provides a 50 cents per hour increase to employer contributions to members’ retirement savings and an improved safety gear allowance. In addition, members’ benefits will transition from an hour bank plan to a pay direct monthly plan. The 21 members are employed as drillers, nozzle persons, grout persons, and labourers. They work primarily in Vancouver and the surrounding area.
