Tuesday, August 15, 2017 Group 92 Mechanical Employees Ratify Contract Ratifications St. Catharines, ON—Local 6 members employed as sheet metal workers and plumbers at Group 92 Mechanical ratified a new three-year collective agreement. The contact provides wage increases of $1 per hour in year one, and $0.90 per hour in years two and three. Lead hands and foremen will receive increased retirement contributions, and all workers will receive an increased boot allowance. “It was a great round of bargaining that will benefit us today and also create a great future for us and our company,” says Ryan Sotola, who served on the bargaining committee. Members with Group 92 perform mechanical, sheet metal, and plumbing work throughout the golden horseshoe, including at Pearson International Airport.
