Global Fire Protection Workers Unanimously Approve New Contract

Mississauga, ON—Local 52 members employed at Global Fire Protection Ltd. have unanimously ratified a new three-year collective agreement.

The contract includes wage increases, shift premiums, revised travel provisions, and an improvement to layoff procedures and recall rights.

“The bargaining committee put in a lot of hard work and we were able to achieve a settlement that proved to be beneficial for all of the members of the bargaining unit,” says Joshua Vanderlaan, CLAC representative.

Global Fire Protection employs eight members who work as sprinkler and fire protection installers in the Greater Toronto Area.
