Get the Training You Need!

With CLAC Training, you have access to all the courses you need to stay safe, certified, and grow your career

By Phil Polsom, CLAC Training Saskatchewan Director

For the past 12 years, CLAC Training has been providing industry-leading safety and skills training for members working on projects here in Saskatchewan. Over the years, we have built relationships with leading safety providers, not just here in Saskatchewan, but across Canada. We do this to ensure that we meet your needs no matter where you are from.

CLAC Training offers courses in a variety of ways. First, we offer you a number of open courses that you can access at any time at no cost. The list is available online or contact the Saskatoon Member Centre at 1-877-649-2522 and speak with Tracy, your training coordinator.

You can also access training through your employer. For specific courses that are required to work on certain projects, your employer will submit training request forms on behalf of you and your fellow members working on the project. These courses are covered through your employer’s training funds.

If you wish to expand your resume and grow your career, you can also access training on your own. Simply contact the Saskatoon Training Centre or fill out a training request online. Signing into your myCLAC account will give you access to all the information, including your record of training.

Members are able to take advantage of the special pricing we have secured through our network of vendors. Note that all training must be booked through the Saskatoon Member Centre.

If you are an apprentice working for an employer that pays into the CLAC Saskatchewan Training Fund, you are also eligible to apply for apprenticeship reimbursement. This covers up to $850 to help cover the cost of tuition and books. For details and to see if you are eligible, go to clac.ca/Your-work/Apprenticeship/Saskatchewan or contact the Saskatoon Member Centre. Go to myCLAC to apply.

We also provide additional training and support services for stewards through the Toolbox training program. This three-part program helps to prepare stewards to assist members on site.

For more information on the various services your CLAC Training Team provides, please talk to your representative, go to our website, or contact the Saskatoon Member Centre at 1-877-649-2522 or sktraining@clac.ca. One of our training team members will be happy to help you!
