Thursday, January 12, 2023 Fournier Employees Overwhelmingly Ratify First Contract Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Sudbury, ON—Local 52 members employed by general contractor L. Fournier et Fils Inc., based in based Val-d’Or, Quebec, overwhelmingly ratified their first collective agreement, with 88 percent voting in favour. The three-year and three-month contract provides excellent wage rates, enrolment in an employer-paid CLAC benefits plan, enrolment in the CLAC Pension Plan with five percent employer contributions, eight percent vacation pay, and an increase to isolation pay from $4 to $5 per hour. The agreement also includes employer contributions to the union’s training fund, providing access for members to CLAC Training’s many safety and skills courses.
