Five Corners Meat Company Employees Ratify First Collective Agreement

Edmonton—Employees of Five Corners Meat Company (Alberta) Ltd. ratified their first collective agreement yesterday.

The 65-plus employees are represented by Logistics, Manufacturing, and Allied Trades Union, CLAC Local 56.

The three-year contract provides Local 56’s newest members with competitive wages and premiums, an employer-paid benefits plan, enrolment in the CLAC Pension Plan, seniority provisions, and other solidified rights and privileges.

Five Corners Meat Company, which opened its doors on October 30, 2023, is a new meat processing facility located in Edmonton. The employees cut, tray, and ship pork, chicken, beef, and lamb to supply grocery chains and stores.
