Wednesday, November 29, 2023 Five Corners Meat Company Employees Ratify First Collective Agreement Locals Local 56 Ratifications Edmonton—Employees of Five Corners Meat Company (Alberta) Ltd. ratified their first collective agreement yesterday. The 65-plus employees are represented by Logistics, Manufacturing, and Allied Trades Union, CLAC Local 56. The three-year contract provides Local 56’s newest members with competitive wages and premiums, an employer-paid benefits plan, enrolment in the CLAC Pension Plan, seniority provisions, and other solidified rights and privileges. Five Corners Meat Company, which opened its doors on October 30, 2023, is a new meat processing facility located in Edmonton. The employees cut, tray, and ship pork, chicken, beef, and lamb to supply grocery chains and stores.
