Everyday Champion: Mohamed Hussen

Mohamed Hussen, a Local 63 member and journeyperson steamfitter/pipefitter employed by Kiewit Fabricators Corp., won a $100 CLAC Store gift card for being an Everyday Champion!

“I’ve had the great pleasure and opportunity to work with Mohamed on several occasions,” says Stacey Leaman, who nominated Mohamed for the award. “Being new to pipefitting and just starting out my career in this trade, with not quite a year’s experience, he’s been a fantastic journeyperson, mentor, and teacher to me. He goes out of his way to take the time to show, explain, and make sure you understand the task that needs to be done.

“Mohamed has allowed me to grow, learn, and experience new things I haven’t tried or seen before. I have seen him teach multiple different apprentices and have heard such good things about his teaching and knowledge that he’s passed on to them too. He’s such a pleasant, hard-working individual. He deserves to be recognized for his dedication.”
