Everyday Champion!

Congratulations to Local 68 member Kent Adajar, our August Everyday Champion winner!

Kent was nominated by his coworker Raphael Balitaan. They both are employed by Peter Kiewit Sons ULC (BC).

“Kent is an outstanding leader on and off the field," says Raphael. "His pipefitting expertise goes a long way. There is no dead time for him as he's always teaching us about pipefitting and other trades. A reliable friend, Kent is not someone who would embarass you in front of other workers. He teaches and corrects you in a way that is safe and and doesn't make you feel belittled. Kent speaks out about mental health issues and is very approachable. He almost always has an answer to any problem, and if he doesn't, he will find a way to get one. A true tradesman, Kent is a friend, a worker, and a leader. On behalf of the Kiewit workers at Dry Creek, I can confidently say that Kent is the perfect example of a true leader and tradesman. He's the guy who helps others in need, teaches new workers, and answers questions. Thank you Kent. The knowledge that you pass on will always stay with us."
