Local 501 National Hospitality Jia Jun was nominated by his coworker Jane Ho. They both are employed by Canucks Sports and Entertainment in Vancouver, British Columbia. “I want to nominate Jia Jun because he helped me adapt to working my post as a quick service cook when I was new," says Jane. "When I was struggling at a task, he gave me pointers on how to improve and even took over when things were moving at a fast pace. He does and says it nicely without making you feel bad about yourself. He is friendly and welcoming to new staff members, as he previously said he understands the intimidation that newcomers feel. Although he is chatty, he gets the work done fast and is proactive in helping the team move along during busy events.
