Congratulations to Local 68 member Amanpal Buttar! Amanpal is this month’s winner of CLAC’s Everyday Champions award

Congratulations to Local 68 member Amanpal Buttar! Amanpal is this month’s winner of CLAC’s Everyday Champions award.

Afshin Firouzbakhsh, a Local 68 member employed by Ledcor Construction Limited, nominated Amanpal because “he changed my life and introduced me to Ledcor.”

Barry McCarty, western Canada manager of OHS-HSC for Ledcor, and the rest of the management team were thrilled that Amanpal won this month’s award. Barry is a former CLAC member and strong supporter of the union.

In an email congratulating the two members, Barry writes, “Amanpal, your work ethic, commitment to safety, focus on helping trades, and straight shooter make you a great safety coordinator and representative of the Everyday Champions Award. Afshin, thank you for recommending Amanpal for this recognition. We fail to give enough recognition to the good work that our people do. Your nomination of Aman shows how “we take care of each other.”
