Thursday, July 7, 2022 Everyday Champion! Congrats to Local 68 member Cory Squires! Cory is this month's winner of the Everyday Champions award Blogs Cory was nominated by David Sykes, his coworker and fellow Local 68 member. Cory and David are employed by Peter Kiewit Sons ULC in Burnaby, BC. "I can unreservedly say I haven’t met a harder-working employee than Cory Squires," said David. "He is a very safety-conscious worker. Our crew not only ships and receives pipeline-related cargo but does so while controlling a cross-traffic of tandem dump trucks, hydro vacs, and other support vehicles from outside suppliers. "As our lead hand, Cory watches out for the rest of the crew, which is no small feat as he is a hands-on leader. Cory has been a great mentor and I can’t think of a more deserving recipient of this recognition." Do you have a coworker who makes a positive difference in your workplace? Express your appreciation by nominating your colleague for CLAC’s Everyday Champions award, and they could win a $50 Amazon card and a $50 CLAC Store gift card!
