Entrust Adult—Supporting Those with Developmental Disabilities

Entrust Adult Inc. members working as community support workers and mentors at group homes and day programs in the Edmonton area have been able to support and care for more clients recently as the company has grown. A big thank you to our members at Entrust who work tirelessly to contribute to this success!

Members at Entrust may also be interested in following the progress of the Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program review report, which was recently released by the Alberta government. The purpose of the program is to better serve Albertans with developmental disabilities. The review panel sought input from people helped by the program, their families and guardians, workers, agencies, and community leaders throughout the province. It received input from Albertans through community conversations, self-facilitated discussions, and an online survey as well as written, art, and video submissions.

The review panel has provided the Ministry of Community and Social Services with a report on the results of the engagement. The report provides a thematic overview of the PDD program’s successes, challenges, and opportunities.
