Unanimously Ratify New Contract Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Etobicoke, ON—Employees of Montana Electrical Contractors Ltd. unanimously ratified a renewed collective agreement providing them with wage increases and other improvements. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52. The union has represented the employees since 2018. The 20 employees, who are mainly electricians, will see their wages increase approximately eight percent by July 2024 over the three-year term of the new contract. Other notable additions include an increase to the foreperson premium, a new lead-hand category and premium, overtime premium for work done on Saturdays, and a paid day of leave upon the birth or adoption of a child.
