Friday, December 3, 2021 Digging Deep to Build Tall Locals Local 53 Newsletters Ontario Construction Sectors Construction Local 53 members employed by Pro Electric Inc. have been busy working at a site called Centro Apartments in London. At this stage in development, the foundations for these high rises are being dug, and they go down four stories or more. When complete, the dual towers of Centro will house 420 units, and it will be the tallest building in southwestern Ontario. The south tower will rise 40 stories (129 metres) and will include 110 affordable housing units with lower rents. The north tower will rise 29 stories. Construction is expected to take three years.
