Tuesday, March 28, 2017 Did You Receive Your 2017 Membership Card? Newsletters By the end of February, you should have received your new CLAC membership card. This card also doubles as your Advantage Program discount card. If you haven’t received your card, talk to your steward. It may have gotten lost in the mail, or you may not have signed a membership application card in the past. With CLAC, becoming a member is your choice. Paying dues doesn’t automatically make you a member. As a dues payer, you receive the protections and benefits outlined in the collective agreement. As a member, you can receive much more, including the opportunity to serve as a leader in your workplace as a steward, bargaining committee member, local board member, National Board member, and National Convention delegate; receive discounts at major vendors through the Advantage Program; apply for a $1,500 scholarship for you and your family members; and nominate a local cause where you live or work to win a donation through CLAC’s Building Communities program.
