Wednesday, April 12, 2023 D.D. Mac Employees Ratify New Contract Providing Significant Increases Locals Local 6 Ratifications Sectors Construction Bolton, ON—Employees of D.D. Mac Electric Ltd. ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant increases. The 87 electricians are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 6. The union has represented the company’s electricians since 2002. The new contract provides total compensation package increases of 17 percent, or $8.72 per hour, over the term. Other improvements include a $100 increase to the personal protective equipment and tool allowance. The out-of-town meal allowance increases to a maximum of $60 per day. The agreement also includes the introduction of a lead hand category, with a three percent premium, and a one percent increase to the junior foreperson premium. “The members at D.D. MAC Electric are loyal and hardworking employees who produce high-quality electrical installations for the company’s clients,” says Randy Parris, CLAC representative. “Through challenging negotiations, this new contract provides the members with significant increases while ensuring that the company remains competitive and can maintain and grow its workforce.” D.D.
