Dalcon Constructors Employees Secure Wage Increases, Other Improvements with New Contract

Nepean, ON—CLAC members employed by Dalcon Constructors Ltd., based in Nepean, Ontario, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing wage increases and other improvements.

The new contract provides members with 10.5 percent wage increases over the term. In addition, employer contributions to members’ pension plan increase by 1.5 percent over the term, and vacation pay increases to 11 percent after 10 years of service. The new contract also provides enhancements to boot, personal protective equipment, travel, and meal allowances.

Dalcon Constructors employes 20 members employed as journeyperson pipefitters, millwrights, labourers, and operators. The company primarily provides heavy civil construction services in the Ottawa and Timmins regions.
