Thursday, May 7, 2026 Corrcoat Services Employees Ratify New Contract with Allowance and Retirement Improvements Local 63 Ratifications Construction Nisku, AB—Employees of Corrcoat Services Inc. ratified a three-year collective agreement providing wage increases and enhanced allowances and retirement contributions. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 63. The union has represented the company’s employees since 2019. The group voted in favour of the new agreement, which runs from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2029, and includes wage increases of two percent annually over the term. The agreement also includes increases to the living-out allowance from $165 to $175 per day and the meal allowance from $65 to $75 per day. Additional improvements include enhanced retirement savings provisions, with RSP contributions increasing to seven percent after eight years of service and eight percent after 10 years, as well as an increase to the boot allowance to $300 annually. The agreement also expands project coverage at Fort McMurray rates to include the Conklin area and includes participation in the industry fund. “This agreement reflects the priorities of our members and delivers meaningful improvements to compensation and support while recognizing long-term service,” says Edwin Dening, representative. “It also strengthens conditions for members working away from home and ensures continued fairness across project locations.” Corrcoat Services Inc. provides construction services, with employees working on projects across northern Alberta.
