Monday, January 15, 2024 Coronet Electric Employees Ratify New Contract Locals Local 63 Ratifications Sectors Construction Edmonton—Local 63 members employed by Coronet Electric Inc. ratified a two-year collective agreement providing them with improvements to wages and benefits. The new contract provides members with a 3.1 percent increase to the base wage, bringing the journeyperson rate up to $33.50 per hour. In addition, the employer will now pay 100 percent of the benefits premium, up from 75 percent. Local 63 has represented the approximately 30 members since 1982. The membership voted 83 percent in favour of ratifying the agreement.
