CLAC Partners with Organized Kaos to Prepare the Next Generation of Construction Workers

On July 2, CLAC hosted a free Working at Heights class for mentors and new students at the Organized Kaos carpentry shop in Brantford.

Every summer, Organized Kaos offers the OK Construction program, which gives youth hands-on learning opportunities and mentorship while earning a wage. Under the guidance of Organized Kaos mentors, students worked in the Brantford community to build fences or decks on residential properties.

Through our partnership, CLAC’s Training team was able to provide Working at Heights and personal protective equipment (PPE) to the mentors and students as they began working on their first jobs in construction.

Building a strong foundation in health and safety is critical for anyone entering the workforce, especially young workers stepping onto a construction job site for the first time. Proper training and the use of PPE not only help prevent injuries but also give workers confidence to do their jobs safely and responsibly from day one.

CLAC is proud to partner with Organized Kaos and support programs like OK Construction, which invests in the next generation of skilled workers. We were honoured to provide this essential training to both mentors and students, helping ensure they are prepared, protected, and set up for success as they begin their careers in construction.
