Thursday, June 9, 2022 CLAC Members Help Bring Distribution Centre to St. Thomas Vacant land that formerly was home to Ford’s Talbotville assembly plant in St. Thomas, Ontario, is being repurposed for a new massive warehousing and distribution centre Guide Magazine The decommissioned plant buildings were demolished to clear the space. The new development is now rapidly moving to completion. Approximately 30 Local 53 members employed by Empire Roofing Corporation and 80 Local 6 members employed by O’Connor Electric, with an expected peak of about 100, are working on the project, which is expected to wind down by late summer.
