Monday, March 14, 2022 CLAC Foundation Provides Funds to Help Ukrainians Affected by Russia’s Invasion The organization is donating $25,000 to support Ukrainians News Newsletters National The CLAC Foundation has announced that it is throwing its support behind those affected by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine by providing $25,000 to the All-Ukrainian Union of Workers Solidarity (VOLYA) through the World Organization of Workers (WOW), of which CLAC is a member. The funds will be used to provide the union’s members with food, medicine, and warm clothing, as well as transportation for those escaping to neighbouring countries, a reality for the nearly three million Ukrainians who have already left their homes. “We want to stand in solidarity with Ukraine and are providing funds for desperately needed supplies,” says Robyn Haarsma, CLAC Foundation president. WOW has also come out strongly against the war, saying its members offer “their sincere support to and deep solidarity with" its colleagues in Ukraine.
