Friday, October 11, 2019 Chartwell Orchard Retirement Residence Employees Ratify New Agreement Ratifications Vineland, ON—The employees of Orchard Retirement Residence have voted overwhelmingly in favour of ratifying their first collective agreement under new owner Chartwell. The employees are members of Niagara Health Care and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 302. The three-year agreement provides employees with wage increases of six percent, as well as an additional wage bump for starting personal support workers during probation, a weekend premium, and increases to vision benefits. “The bargaining committee did a wonderful job in negotiations,” says Matthew Barrett, CLAC representative. “This was a tough road of bargaining, but our committee really stood strong and helped get the members’ issues across to management.” You might be interested in Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026 Ready to Deliver 3 Jun 2026
