Friday, October 11, 2019 Chartwell Orchard Retirement Residence Employees Ratify New Agreement Ratifications Vineland, ON—The employees of Orchard Retirement Residence have voted overwhelmingly in favour of ratifying their first collective agreement under new owner Chartwell. The employees are members of Niagara Health Care and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 302. The three-year agreement provides employees with wage increases of six percent, as well as an additional wage bump for starting personal support workers during probation, a weekend premium, and increases to vision benefits. “The bargaining committee did a wonderful job in negotiations,” says Matthew Barrett, CLAC representative. “This was a tough road of bargaining, but our committee really stood strong and helped get the members’ issues across to management.” You might be interested in Skill and Care on the Milk Route 17 Sep 2026 Building Skills, Growing Careers 15 Sep 2026 CLAC's Statement on Canada's Energy Future 14 Sep 2026 Seeing Clearly 13 Sep 2026
