Thursday, February 24, 2022 Chambers Electrical Employees See Significant Wage Gains with New Contract Locals Local 68 Newsletters BC Local 68 Ratifications Sectors Construction Coquitlam, BC—Local 68 members employed by Chambers Electrical Corp. ratified a four-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage increases. Local 68 has represented the members since 1999. The highlight of the new contract is a significant, immediate wage increase, followed by 3.5 and 3 percent increases in the second and third years, respectively, and a CPI adjustment in the fourth. Chambers Electric employs over 150 electricians performing work on residential high-rise buildings throughout the Greater Vancouver Regional District. “This is the largest jump in wages in recent years for Chambers employees,” says shop steward Byron Ritchie. “It gives us a competitive compensation package now and in the future.
