Pipeline construction labourers, operating engineers, pipefitters, and teamsters 1792786 Alberta Ltd. General construction structural ironworkers Ratifications Brock Canada Field Services Ltd. Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing wage increases of 0.6% on February 1 and August 1, 2020. Employer contributions to the health and welfare benefits premium will also increase to continue full employer coverage of the cost of the benefits plan. Other gains include an increase to bereavement pay and the introduction of a personal protective equipment and tool allowance of $200/yr. Brand Energy Solutions (Canada) Ltd. Members employed by this Edmonton-based contractor ratified a 2-year agreement providing a 1.2% increase to base wage rates while maintaining 4% employer contributions to both the CLAC Pension Plan and CLAC Group RSP. Employer premiums to the cost of the health and welfare benefits plan were also increased to maintain full employer-paid coverage. Other improvements include an increase to bereavement pay, a one-day leave of absence for the birth of a child, and increased boot allowance premium. Flatiron Constructors Canada Limited Members employed by Flatiron ratified a 32-month agreement providing wage increases ranging from 3.5% to 4.25%. The new contract also included increased overtime provisions and longevity increases in both pension and vacation pay. Ledcor Fabrication Inc. Members ratified a 30-month agreement providing a 3.8% increase for most trade classifications on site. Ledcor Highways Ltd. Members employed by Ledcor’s highway maintenance division ratified a 29-month agreement. With the introduction of new classifications and market adjustments to some existing classifications as well as additional length-of-service premiums, members will see wage increases from 3-12% depending on classification and length of service. Nason Contracting Group Ltd. – Fabrication and Maintenance Divisions Members ratified renewed agreements voting 95% and 79%, respectively in favour. Minor improvements were made throughout the agreements with a focus on maintaining current work and stability for the membership employed by Nason. PCL Builders Inc. – General Construction Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing a 1.5% increase in southern Alberta, a return to 100% employer-paid health benefits, and other minor improvements. This contract covers commercial, institutional, and other construction projects throughout Alberta. PCL Builders Inc. – Road Building and Heavy Construction Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing compensation and working terms and conditions similar to those members working in PCL’s general construction sector. PCL Energy Inc. Members employed by PCL in the maintenance division ratified a 32-month agreement providing a 2.3% increase to base wage rates. Health and welfare benefits premiums will also increase to maintain a fully employer-paid benefits plan. Other gains include increases to both the meal and living-out allowances. Pomerleau Inc. Members unanimously ratified a 2-year agreement providing immediate wage increases of 1.75% to all employees. The agreement also maintains full coverage of the health and welfare benefits, pension plan, and group RSP. Skyway Canada Limited Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing a 1.2% wage increase while maintaining their fully employer-paid health and welfare benefits plan. The agreement also maintains the current level of employer contributions to both the pension plan and group RSP and includes an increase to bereavement pay.
