Thursday, July 15, 2021 Cedarcroft Place Retirement Community Employees Vote to Join CLAC Eighty-three percent voted to join Health Care and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 304 News Oshawa, ON—On July 13, 2021, employees working at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Community voted overwhelmingly in favour of displacing Unifor to join Health Care and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 304. “The employees were frustrated with poor representation and a lack of service from Unifor,” says Kevin Gates, CLAC representative. “They decided it was time for a change.” CLAC is honoured to represent these new members and will immediately start the process of negotiating a new collective agreement and providing the union representation they deserve.
