Friday, December 9, 2016 CDI Employees Ratify First Contract Locals Local 52 Newsletters Ratifications Sault Ste. Marie, ON – Members at this Sault Ste. Marie-based general contractor recently joined Local 52 and ratified their first 3-year agreement. The contract provides membership in a CLAC benefits plan, the CLAC vacation pay system with 10-percent vacation pay, the CLAC Pension Plan with 12-percent employer-paid contributions, training contributions, and 2-percent wage increases. The 50 members work primarily in millwrighting, welding, fitting, and fabrication. About 60 members were employed at peak this summer. The local thanks Andy McMaster and Kyle Albury for their assistance in negotiating the collective agreement.
