Newsletters Alberta Local 56 Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) received a $2,500 donation from CLAC as part of the union’s Building Communities program. The organization was nominated by Everdina McDonnell, who is a Local 56 member employed by Garda Security Screening Inc. “AARCS is a grassroots animal welfare organization that helps homeless animals find forever homes,” says Everdina. “I adopted a cat through this organization, and I feel that in these hard times animals as much as humans need all the help they can get.
