Monday, August 23, 2021 Building Communities Winner! Newsletters Ontario Construction Twice per year (June and December), CLAC awards donations of $1,000, $1,500, or $2,500 to up to 15 local causes nominated by members. All causes and amounts are selected at random from qualified nominations. Local 6 member Joao Correia nominated the Hope Centre for CLAC’s Building Communities program and won a $1,000 donation in the June draw for the charity. Joao is employed by Besseling Mechanical Inc. “The Hope Centre gives back to their community by feeding and providing for the needs of the less fortunate,” says Joao. “They provide everything from meals to shoes, from counselling to housing. CLAC’s donation will enable the charity to continue to support those with poverty-related barriers through a range of services.” Is there a cause in your community that could use support? Be sure to nominate it for our next draw in December. The deadline for nominations for the next draw is November 30. Go to myCLAC to learn more and to nominate a cause.
