Bromac Electric Employees Unanimously Ratify First Collective Agreement

OAKWOOD, ON—Local 52 members employed by Bromac Electric Inc., an electrical contractor based in Oakwood, Ontario, unanimously ratified their first collective agreement.

The journeyperson electricians and electrician apprentices joined the union in late August 2025. Over the course of the three-year contract, members will see significant wage increases across all categories, improvements to travel, and access to the union’s training and apprentice support systems.

“Prior to this agreement, this group of workers had no benefits coverage or retirement plan,” says Robert Brink, representative. “Getting those pieces in place was key. We found the right benefits plan for the guys and a CLAC Pension Plan contribution amount that’ll set them on the right track for retirement.”

Bromac Electric works on commercial, residential, and institutional projects, primarily in the Kawartha Lakes and Durham regions of Ontario.
