Wednesday, December 17, 2025 Beechwood Retirement Residence Employees Ratify New Contract with Strong Support Local 304 Ratifications Healthcare MISSISSAUGA, ON—Local 304 members employed at Beechwood Retirement Residence, a retirement home in Mississauga, Ontario, overwhelmingly ratified a new two-year collective agreement, achieving key improvements to wages, benefits, and premiums. The new contract was supported by an impressive 94 percent of voting members and covers more than 100 employees. The agreement takes effect January 1, 2026, and runs through December 31, 2027. The new contract provides a 6.5 percent wage increase over 2 years, introduces a new weekend shift premium, and includes increases to evening and night-shift premiums. Members will also benefit from an additional float day and enhanced vision-care coverage. “We’re very pleased with this excellent agreement and the strong support shown by the membership,” says Kevin Gates, representative. “The improvements achieved in this round of bargaining reflect the dedication and unity of our members at Beechwood and their commitment to fairness in the workplace.” Beechwood employees have been represented by Healthcare and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 304, since 1994.
