Monday, March 23, 2026 BDA Employees Unanimously Ratify New Collective Agreement Local 52 Ratifications Construction TORONTO—Local 52 members employed by BDA Inc. unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage and other gains. The group, which includes carpenters and labourers, secured a total compensation increase of up to 17.6 per cent over the term. The agreement also includes a two percent increase to retirement contributions and a $100 increase to the boot and tool allowance. “The bargaining committee understood and executed the priorities of the group,” says Randy Parris, representative. “We had efficient bargaining sessions where we secured wage increases the members were looking for.” BDA is a general contractor based in Toronto, with members working on job sites across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions. Local 52 has represented the company’s employees since 2016.
