BCR Electric Employees Secure Wage Increases Protected against Inflation with New Contract

Welland, ON—The 20 Local 6 members employed as journeyperson and apprentice electricians by BCR Electric Ltd., based in Welland, Ontario, ratified a three-year collective agreement.

The new contract provides members with a minimum 13.5 wage increase minimum over the term and includes protection from inflation. In addition, members annual boot allowance was increased to $400.

“This settlement provides a healthy increase to members’ wages as well as protects them against inflationary forces,” says Ben Hirst, representative.
