Thursday, February 26, 2026 A Classic Canadian Family Day! Members enjoyed skating, coffee and snacks, and prizes at CLAC’s Family Skate Day in Chatham Local 53 Ontario Construction On Monday, February 16, Local 53 members, along with their families and friends, laced up for a fun-filled Family Skate Day at the William Erickson Arena in Chatham. Sponsored by CLAC, the event offered free skating, great company, and plenty of classic Canadian winter fun. Participants enjoyed giveaways, door prizes, and lots of laughter—whether racing around the rink, helping little ones learn to skate, or simply making memories together. It was a truly Canadian way to celebrate Family Day: Tim Hortons coffee and Timbits, an afternoon of skating, and an evening spent watching Olympic hockey.
