Everyday Champion!

Congratulations to Local 304 member Helen Jackson! Helen is this month’s winner of CLAC’s Everyday Champions award.

Sherine Fernando, a Local 304 member employed by Regency Retirement Residence, nominated Helen because of her willingness to fight for the rights of her coworkers.

“Helen is a great coworker,” says Sherine. “She was the co-steward who worked with me for the past few years. She celebrated her 70th birthday last May and is one of the longest lasting members of my workplace. She has worked at Regency for an astounding 17 years and has been there since the very beginning. She is kind, hard working, and can easily adapt to any situation that she might face. Furthermore, she has a strong sense of responsibility and is willing to fight for the rights of her coworkers. She has been an exceptional help to not just myself, but all of her coworkers as well.”
