Apprenticeship Coordinator

LOCATION: Langley

We are currently accepting resumes for an Apprenticeship Coordinator to join the Training, Apprenticeship and Jobs - West. This is a full-time, permanent position in our Langley Member Centre.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing various programs and services related to training, apprenticeship, or job placement for CLAC members, signatory employers, and the public.

This role ensures that all programs comply with company policies, legal guidelines, and sector-specific requirements while maintaining high standards of service delivery. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage complex tasks independently while collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

The core duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the respective area of focus, but typically include:

  • Program Coordination and Administration:
    • Oversee scheduling, coordination, and administration of relevant programs (apprenticeship services).
    • Ensure compliance with CLAC standards, legal requirements, and sector-specific guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Liaison and Collaboration:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including signatory employers, vendors, training providers, and community partners.
    • Work closely with employers and stakeholders to ensure programs effectively meet workforce needs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Compile, analyze, and report on data (apprentice progress) to support decision-making by leadership.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity in relevant databases and systems.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Promote services (apprenticeship opportunities) to internal and external audiences.
    • Assist in developing outreach strategies and marketing materials to enhance visibility.
  • Event Planning and Coordination:
    • Represent CLAC at industry events, job fairs, recruitment activities, or training sessions.
    • Coordinate event logistics, including registration, setup, and follow-up.
  • Vendor and Partner Management:
    • Manage relationships with third-party service providers (training vendors, community agencies) and negotiate agreements as needed.
    • Ensure smooth program delivery through effective partnership management.
  • Adaptability and Support:
    • Handle additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving team and organizational goals.
    • Provide general support to other teams (Training, or Jobs) as required.
  • Apprenticeship Coordinator Specific Responsibilities:
    • Oversee apprenticeship registration, training, and onboarding processes.
    • Develop initiatives to support apprentice retention and program completion.
    • Track apprentices' progress and manage relationships with provincial apprenticeship bodies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (CHRP or related certifications are an asset).
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field (e.g., apprenticeship coordination).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with database management and data analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with provincial systems, construction trades, or relevant industry
Reporting and Accountability:
  • This position reports directly to the Apprenticeship & Programs Lead
Compensation:

The annual salary will range from $58,579 to $78,105.
