Skid-Steer Loader Operator

This instructor-led journey will teach students how to operate Skid Steer safely. Through both theory and practical elements, students will learn how to protect themselves and others when operating Skid Steers in the workplace. The course is developed in line with requirements set in OHS regulations, CSA standards, and operator manuals of common models in Canada.

Through a hands-on, personalized experience students will learn how to:

• Understand applicable legislation and where to find it
• Understand documentation and training requirements
• Demonstrate the ability to perform inspection and function test
• Identify operating hazards
• Know hazard controls
• Understand how to read indicators
• Use load charts
• Understand safe work practices
• Understand machine stability
