Wage Increases, Other Improvements for enVision Employees with New Contract

Steinbach, MB—Employees of enVision Community Living ratified a collective agreement providing modest wage increases over the contract’s two-year term. The 50 employees are represented by Local 306.

The new agreement also includes improvements to sick time calculations, a doubling of labour-management meetings, more consultation with the union on training and professional development as well as more paid training, and improvements to family responsibility leave. Several letters of agreement addressing issues of importance to the membership were also included in the contract.

The employees work as direct support workers and labourers at Eastman Recycling and Kindale Industries. They provide daytime support services to adults living with an intellectual disability.
