LifeWorks Opens Crisis Support Line

In the wake of the recent tragic residential school discoveries, CLAC’s EFAP provider has made a crisis support line available to anyone who needs professional emotional support

We are saddened and devastated by the discovery of a mass grave of children on the site of the former Marieval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan, following in the wake of the discovery in Kamloops, BC.

Although CLAC members whose employee and family assistance program is provided by LifeWorks have access to a help line, LifeWorks has also opened up a crisis support line for anyone in the community in need of emotional support in relation to these events.

A crisis or traumatic event can trigger overwhelming emotional responses. People are affected in their hearts and minds, which can undermine healthy communities and social relationships at home and at work.

The crisis support line is open 24/7 and can be reached at 1-844-751-2133

By calling, individuals will receive professional emotional support and/or referral to community resources. This resource is available to anyone and everyone, whether they are a LifeWorks client or not.
