LTS Employees Gain Wage, Pension, and Benefits Improvements with New Contract

Mississauga, ON—Employees of Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) Build Services Ltd. ratified a new three-year collective agreement providing wage, pension, and benefits improvements.

The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52. The union has represented the employees since November 2017.

Employees will see their total compensation package increase by a little over six percent over the term of the contract. They will also see improvements to employer-paid contributions to the pension plan, health and welfare benefits provisions, and job security provisions regarding layoffs and subcontracting.

“The bargaining committee did an excellent job representing the interest of their colleagues and helped build trust on both sides of the bargaining table,” says J. D. Alkema, CLAC regional director. “A lot of time and effort went into this process, and ultimately we were able to negotiate an agreement that will provide stability for our members.”

Ledcor Technical Services is a telecommunications contractor servicing the Milton, Belleville, and Ottawa regions where their offices are located.
