Member Profile: Phil Cyr

Phil has served six years as a volunteer firefighter with the City of Belleville and is a lieutenant. He is also a steward and has served as treasurer of the Local 920 Board for one year. We asked Phil to tell us a little bit about himself.

Rescuing a woman from a house fire

The level of commitment that is involved

What is the biggest misconception people have about volunteer firefighters?
That we’re not trained

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Police officer

Do you have a hidden talent?
Yes, I am a drummer.

If you could only eat one item for every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
