Building and Regional Coordinator - Cambridge


Job Summary:

CLAC Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated individual to coordinate the Regional Support Staff team and manage the maintenance of the facility.


Key Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the Regional support staff, in tandem with the Regional Director
  • Supports the Provincial Director in administrative tasks
  • Coordinates and conducts interviews for prospective hires
  • Supports the Cambridge Union Representatives in day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Tracking Regional staff vacations and absences
  • Order and Maintain swag inventory
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Prepares and proofreads a variety of correspondences, memos, letters and reports including collective agreements
  • Prepares and submits forms and applications to the OLRB
  • Responding to building deficiencies and security calls
  • Obtaining quotes/arranging for building service providers
  • Issuing and overseeing access to the facility


Qualifications:

Completion of secondary education or equivalent years of work experience.


Skills and Experience:

  • Great interpersonal skills and proven ability to lead a team
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Trustworthy with confidential information
  • Excellent time management skills including ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Critical thinker with ability to resolve problems
  • Advanced computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to quickly learn new programs and databases.


Reporting and Accountability:

This position reports directly to Susan Siemens, Cambridge Regional Director.
