On January 12, 2010, the Caribbean nation of Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake, leaving tens of thousands of Haitians dead, millions homeless, and the entire nation in ruins. Canadians have reached out in amazing numbers so far to donate money for the relief efforts underway to help those in desperate need.
If you haven’t made a contribution yet and wish to help, CLAC encourages its members and supporters to donate to any one of the agencies linked below. These registered Canadian charities are officially recognized by the Canadian government as part of its program to match one for one all donations. This program expires on February 12, 2010. If you plan to donate, please do so before the deadline and make your donation go twice as far.
