Edmonton—Members of Construction Workers Union, Local 63, employed by JV Driver Fabricators Inc. ratified a new collective agreement with a sixty percent majority.
The settlement provides an immediate wage increase of 2 percent, with an additional 1.75 percent increase in September 2012 and further wage reviews scheduled for March 2013. The new contract also includes the introduction of matching pension contributions in March 2012 in addition to current RSP contributions made by the company.
JV Driver Fabricators consists of a fabrication shop and a modular assembly yard where CLAC members craft and construct a variety of components for various industrial projects.
