Three BC Residents Win CLAC Scholarships

Langley, BC—Vanessa Becker, Robert Sroka, and Jenn Zdril have each won a $1,500 CLAC scholarship.
CLAC awards twelve $1,500 scholarships annually to members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren from across the country who are enrolled in university, college, or technical school.

Vanessa is a member of Service, Health, and Allied Workers’ Union, Local 501, employed by Communitas Supportive Care Society as a residential support worker. She is enrolled at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the special education teacher assistant program.

Robert is in his third year of the Juris Doctor program at the University of British Columbia. His mother is a Local 501 member employed by Buena Vista Lodge Ltd.

Jenn is in the Arts and Social Sciences program at Simon Fraser University. Her husband, Brian, is a member of Construction and Allied Workers’ Union, Local 68, employed by Canadian Utility Construction Inc.
