Sylvan Lake Lodge Employees Ratify Contract

Calgary—Local 301 members employed by Sylvan Lake Lodge, a seniors home, strongly endorsed a new collective agreement. The contract provides wage increases for all employees, shoe and clothing allowances, and significant improvements in benefits for casual employees.

“I am pleased on behalf of the members at the wage increases as well as the increased recognition of the casual employees working here,” says  Ed De Bruyn, Alberta representative. The 32 Sylvan Lake Lodge employees provide meals and housekeeping services to 60 residents.
