Skyway Employees Ratify Agreement

Calgary—Local 63 members employed by Skyway Canada Ltd. ratified a new thirty-two month collective agreement providing substantial wage increases of more than ten percent over the term.

Employees will also benefit from improvements to safety prescription eyewear amounts, layoff provisions, increases to the lead hand and foreperson premiums, and adoption of the CLAC Pension Plan.

Members employed by Skyway are primarily involved in scaffolding across Alberta. The contract includes changes to apprenticeship levels to correspond with the Scaffold Industry Association program.
