Edmonton—Members of Health Care and Service Employees’ Union, Local 301, employed by the Real Canadian Wholesale Club (RCWC) ratified a new collective agreement providing immediate wage increases and retroactivity to October 2010.
The seven-year contract also includes improvements to scheduling and voluntary pension contributions.
“The negotiations were a long haul, but we are pleased with the results,” says Melanie St. Andrews, CLAC Alberta representative. “The bargaining committee was committed to ensuring that the employees’ long term interests were looked after.”
RCWC has seven locations across Alberta providing groceries and supplies to small businesses and retail shoppers.
