Edmonton —Local 56 members employed by PCL Builders Inc. voted eighty-six percent in favour of a renewed thirty-two month collective agreement.
The renewed agreement, which comes into effect in September, contains compensation increases of between 4.5 percent and 6.7 percent in wage and retirement fund contributions, an increase to the night shift premium, and a new boot allowance.
“We are pleased to have an agreement that recognizes the contribution these employees make to keep PCL a leader in the industry,” says Eric Nederlof, Alberta representative. “This agreement strengthens and builds on a positive labour relations culture.”
